Technip Energies’ Loading Systems business celebrates its 50th anniversary
This is a success story based on innovation and international growth.
Technip Energies’ Loading Systems business celebrated the 50th year of its site in Sens, France, in presence of Roland Lescure, French Minister of Industry and Energy, and Arnaud Pieton, Technip Energies’ CEO.
Indeed, the plant opened on April 24, 1974.
Many activities took place throughout a week of anniversary celebrations (April 22-26) with events for local universities, clients, suppliers, institutional and employees.
In his speech, Roland Lescure revealed that France will have the capacity to store CO2 underground in the coming years. “We are creating the ecology of the possible, where we can both decarbonize traditional industries and invent the decarbonization industry, ensure that the industry of yesterday and today continues to develop in the future, and invent the tools of tomorrow. And that's exactly what you're doing here in Sens.”
Arnaud Pieton added: “Our loading arms can be found all over the world as 95% of the products manufactured here are exported. Thanks to innovation, we are very proud that these products are now applicable and deployable to sustainable aviation fuels, ammonia, and in particular liquefied CO2.”
To mark the occasion Eric Morilhat, Managing Director of Loading Systems, commented on the recent launch of the eMAX series, an advanced suite of electric and automatic loading arms, and said: “We are very proud of our fifty years of innovation, technology, and world firsts to contribute to the net zero journey. Loading Systems now has more than 300 employees, most based at Sens, and has established a strong leadership in the industry. We keep innovating to include in our portfolio transfer solutions for the Liquefied Natural Gas sector, as well as other growing markets linked to the energy transition.”
Loading Systems has more than 15,000 loading arms installed in 88 countries worldwide. It submitted nearly 50 patents to help transform the oil and gas industry.
