Students heard about various innovative energy projects
More than 200 students from eight universities in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, Malaysia, recently took part in a special STEM* and sustainability event held by Technip Energies’ operating center in Kuala Lumpur.
The event, which addressed themes such as sustainability and HSE as well as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, was staged with the support of the Student Volunteers Foundation, Ministry of National Unity of Malaysia.
The overall focus was on students’ career journey and technical knowledge with sessions on engineering and HSES** among other topics. In addition, there were practical tips on résumé (CV) writing.
This event was part of Technip Energies’ strategy to build a community of empowered individuals ready to tackle the challenges of the future.
Several employees from our Kuala Lumpur operating center gave presentations and Christophe Virondaud, Managing Director APAC, delivered the closing remarks. He said: “At Technip Energies, we were pleased to host this program for the university students who attended the event. The dynamics of the energy industry require more participation from young talents to contribute to creative and innovative solutions. Aligned with Technip Energies’ Purpose and Values, connecting with community through the pillar of education will enable the future graduates to make a real and positive long-term impact within the community to build a better tomorrow together.”
